Physical Requirements & Disclaimer

Please read the following information carefully before participating in Matt's Moab Astrophotography Workshop. It is essential to ensure that you are physically capable and prepared for the activities involved.

Hiking Requirements

- Guests will participate in hikes of varying difficulty levels, ranging from easy to moderately difficult. These hikes are an integral part of the workshop experience and provide access to stunning photography locations.- The most challenging hike is to Arches National Park's "Delicate Arch," which involves an approximately 3-mile round trip with moderate elevation gain. Please note that this hike requires a reasonable level of physical fitness and stamina.- For guests who may not feel up to the most challenging hike, an alternative option will be provided. However, please be aware that all hikes involve walking on rocky and uneven surfaces, which may pose some level of difficulty.

Physical Fitness
& Health

- Guests should be in good physical condition and overall health to fully participate in the workshop. This includes being able to frequently enter and exit passenger vans, as well as walking and hiking on uneven terrain.- It is important to note that some hikes will take place in low-light or dark conditions, requiring the use of a headlamp. Guests should be comfortable and confident hiking in these conditions.

Safety Precautions

- While every effort will be made to ensure your safety, it is your responsibility to take necessary precautions and assess your own capabilities and limitations.

- Please inform the workshop organizers of any pre-existing medical conditions, physical limitations, or dietary restrictions that may affect your ability to participate fully in the workshop. This will enable us to make appropriate arrangements and provide necessary support.

By participating in the workshop, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with hiking and outdoor activities. You agree to take personal responsibility for your own safety and well-being throughout the workshop.
